McCain’s Eligibility Checked; Obama’s Was Not

A recent lawsuit is claiming that whereas McCain’s eligibility was checked to make sure he was eligible to run for and become President under Article 2, Secton 1, of the the Constitution, Congress failed to check Obama’s eligibility. The lawsuit accuses the Congress of not checking Obama’s birth records before approving the Electoral College vote.

This is one of several lawsuits winding its way through the court system which challenges Obama’s eligibility to serve as President claiming he is not a “natural born” citizen as the Constitution requires. Obama’s own relatives say he was born in Kenya and it is known that his father was a British subject. It is also known that Obama’s stepfather moved the family to Indonesia when Barak was a boy and changed his nationality to Indonesian. Either of these would make him ineligible to be President.

Since last year various persons and entities have been requesting to see Obama’s official birth certificate in order to clear up this matter. However, Obama’s response was to have his records sealed and to hire 3 law firms to keep his records secret from the public. He has refused to explain this peculiar behavior, so the only recourse will be to have the Court demand to see his records and settle the matter once and for all. In the meantime, we wait not knowing if the man who sits in the Oval Office is eligible to be there, simply because he refuses to show his birth certificate.
